The Role

You own outcomes, not just code. You ship features by shaping problems, defining validation, and using AI agents to accelerate implementation. Your work makes the system easier to change, easier to verify, and safer to ship.

Responsibilities

  1. Shape work into agent-ready plans
    • Turn fuzzy requests into clear scopes, constraints, and acceptance criteria
    • Break work into parallelizable tasks with clean interfaces
    • Decide what to validate and where risk is acceptable
  2. Build and enforce closed-loop delivery
    • Make “one command verification” standard for your area
    • Improve tests so they catch real regressions and are fast enough to run often
    • Design validation that agents can run repeatedly until green
  3. Lead architecture and quality gates
    • Drive architecture discussions and document key decisions briefly
    • Set boundaries, contracts, and invariants so parallel changes integrate cleanly
    • Push quality gates up the stack: behavior and validation over line-by-line diff review
  4. Run multi-threaded execution
    • Manage multiple agent threads without losing coherence
    • Integrate changes frequently and reduce merge conflicts through system design
    • Build reusable prompt patterns and repo conventions for the team
  5. Raise engineering taste and standards
    • Remove accidental complexity by changing seams, not polishing forever
    • Improve observability so failures are easier to diagnose
    • Mentor others on shaping, validation, and agent workflows

You Are

  • Strong systems thinker who likes tradeoffs, interfaces, and invariants
  • Comfortable shipping when the validation is solid
  • Bias to action with disciplined risk management
  • Enjoy building tools and loops that make teams faster

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of AI engineering experience, preferably in high-growth tech firms or Series A+ startups.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant disciplines, from a QS World Top 50 university, with highest distinction (First-class honour / Summa Cum Laude)
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese is highly preferred to support regional collaboration.
