About the Role
The Assistant Manager Supply Chain will oversee the effective management of supply chain operations, with a focus on P&L management, negotiation of rates, SOP governance, and project management. The role ensures efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations while adhering to company policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities
P&L Management:
- Oversee the financial aspects of the supply chain, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring profitability targets are met.
- Analyze cost structures and identify areas for cost reduction and operational efficiencies.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and provide insights to management.
Negotiation of Rates:
- Lead negotiations with vendors, carriers, and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Continuously monitor market trends to ensure optimal procurement strategies.
- Manage contracts with third-party logistics providers and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
SOP Governance:
- Ensure the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across supply chain operations.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure all processes align with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Provide training to team members to ensure adherence to SOPs and process optimization.
Project Management:
- Manage supply chain projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve logistics, inventory, and procurement processes.
- Implement process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance supply chain efficiency.
What You Need To Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in P&L management, cost analysis, and financial reporting.
- Strong negotiation skills with experience in rate agreements and vendor management.
- Solid understanding of SOP development and compliance.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
