The Simple Sum is looking for a content lead to help us launch our financial literacy platform in Indonesia. This person has to have the confidence to play a big role in a small team and work closely with our team in Singapore. We're looking for candidates with a can-do attitude and has the desire to help take a growing international brand into the Indonesian market.
Responsibilities:
- Generate ideas around personal finance topics
- Source for individuals with compelling personal finance stories
- Interview industry experts
- Write weekly articles for the website and social media
- Manage designer and lead conceptualisation of comics on a weekly basis
- Manage freelance writers when required
- Update WordPress
- Craft headlines and social copy for all outgoing content
- Craft monthly newsletter
- Manage the editorial calendar and ensure timely publication
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as an editor or writer
- Familiarity and interest in personal finance topics
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English
- Ability to produce content in Bahasa Indonesia and bilingual in English to liaise with Singapore office
- Attention to detail
- Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. WordPress)
- Familiarity with SEO and keyword research
- Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related field
- Visual design experience, such as infographic design a bonus
