JOB PURPOSE
This role primarily focuses on the need to manage both the day to day finance & accounting of the Company in ensuring that accounting records and systems complies with the company’s policies in accordance to all requirements and standards (Accounting, Statutory & Tax), as well as to analyse, prepare and develop financial projection modelling models in assessing the feasibility of business asset management and acquisition.
This role will report to the Head of Business Development as well as to work closely with other members of the Finance department in ensuring that the overall operations is efficient and effective.
Job Accountabilities/Key Result Areas:
The main role and responsibilities of this position are to:
- Ensure that the day-to-day operations of Finance & accounting in relation to the full set of accounts be managed in accordance to the existing processes for timely monthly accounts closing and preparation of required financial reports:
i. Daily and monthly cashflow forecasts.
ii. Rental collection
iii. Budget
iv. Income Tax/ Deferred Tax
v. Sales & Service Tax filing
vi. Other related finance matters reporting.
- Liaison with business counterparts on all aspects of business and operations.
- Develop operating budgets, forecasts and financial models.
- Prepare financial modelling for potential assets.
- Assist to analyse potential business ventures and opportunities.
- Assist in handling and reviewing of entity’s legal documentation such as:
i. Operating agreements
ii. Management agreements
iii. Tenancy agreements
iv. Loan documentation
v. . Liaise with internal and external auditor, tax agent, solicitors, bankers, company secretary and other related stakeholders to ensure compliance with all matters related to audit, tax and statutory requirements.
vi. Undertake any other tasks and assignments as assigned by the Head of Business Development.
Job Requirements:
- At least a degree in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent.
- Professional qualification is an added advantage.
- More than 4 years’ experience working in similar role. Exposure to private investment portfolio / retail assets / REITs will be an added advantage.
- Property or Developer background will be preferred.
- Good language command (written and verbal) in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
