Role Summary
The Finance & Admin Manager is responsible for overseeing MHub’s financial health, governance, compliance, and administrative operations. This role ensures strong financial controls, effective reporting, and efficient office administration. This role plays a key part in supporting the EXCO and Board through preparation of board papers, financial analysis, and governance documentation..
The ideal candidate combines financial leadership with operational discipline and thrives in a fast-paced, ecosystem-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee full-spectrum finance functions (GL, AP, AR, payroll, treasury).
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and board papers.
- Manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
- Ensure timely year-end closing and liaise with external auditors and tax agents.
- Strengthen internal controls and financial governance processes.
2. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (SSM, LHDN, EPF, SOCSO, etc.).
- Oversee tax planning, SST matters (if applicable), and regulatory filings.
- Implement and monitor financial policies and SOPs.
- Identify financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
3. Administrative & Operational Oversight
- Lead administrative functions including procurement, vendor management, contracts, and facilities oversight.
- Manage office operations, asset control, and cost optimisation initiatives.
5. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Manage and develop finance and admin team members.
- Work closely with Business Units to support budgeting and financial planning.
- Support leadership with financial insights for strategic decision-making.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, legal advisors, and government agencies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, MICPA or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience handling grants, government funding, or ecosystem-related organisations is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations and statutory requirements.
- Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
