A Senior DevOps Engineer shall own and evolve MHub’s cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. You will work closely with software engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly available systems on AWS.
This role goes beyond maintenance. You will drive best practices, improve reliability, and mentor others while ensuring our infrastructure supports rapid product innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant infrastructure on AWS
- Lead infrastructure architecture decisions across services such as Lambda, Serverless Framework
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation especially Ansible - system where we do infrastructure as code can do peer review
- Optimize infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
CI/CD & Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment workflows
- Improve deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling deployments) to minimize downtime and risk
- Automate operational tasks to reduce manual intervention and improve developer productivity
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools especially GitHub Actions, Jenkins and Circle CI.
Reliability, Monitoring & Incident Management
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar
- Proactively monitor system health and performance; identify bottlenecks and performance risks
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortems; drive preventive improvements
Security & Compliance
- Design and enforce cloud security best practices, including IAM, network security, encryption, and secrets management
- Collaborate with security and compliance teams to meet regulatory and organizational requirements
- Conduct regular security reviews and infrastructure audits
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work closely with software engineers to understand application requirements and translate them into infrastructure solutions
- Act as a technical mentor for junior DevOps and engineering team members
- Contribute to technical standards, documentation, and operational best practices
- Champion DevOps culture across the organization
Required Qualifications
- 4-7 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Cloud Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production environments
- Proven experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Solid experience with Infrastructure as Code
- Familiar with writing in Python and Shell scripts
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience with maintaining and deploying SQL Servers, especially PostgreSQL and MySQL.
