We are now looking for an Intern to join our Edge team, working on image processing and machine vision solutions for industrial applications.

Role Overview

This role focuses on developing an image processing unit for industrial factories using Single Board Computers (SBCs) like Raspberry Pi. You will work with machine vision technologies and, if needed, machine learning to enhance automation and analytics in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and deploy SBCs (Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, etc.) for industrial image processing applications.
• Work with machine vision cameras and industrial sensors to collect and process image data.
• Develop and optimise image processing pipelines using OpenCV or similar frameworks.
• Implement basic machine learning models (if needed) for object detection, anomaly detection, or classification.
• Integrate IIoT devices with cloud platforms for real-time monitoring and analytics.
• Assist in hardware testing, debugging, and deployment in industrial environments.
• Document technical workflows, findings, and optimisations.

Requirements

• ✅Education: Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• ✅ Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi, Jetson Nano, or other SBCs.
• ✅ Knowledge of Python and OpenCV for image processing.
• ✅ Understanding of machine vision concepts (camera calibration, object detection, etc.).
• ✅ Some experience with IoT protocols (MQTT, Modbus, etc.) is a plus.
• ✅ Passion for industrial automation, embedded systems, and IIoT.
• ✅ Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• 🌟 Knowledge of industrial communication protocols.
