As a Logistics Intern, you will support the operations team in enhancing process clarity, compliance, and efficiency. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Key Responsibilities
• SOP & Work Instruction Drafting: Assist in creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) for warehouse and logistics workflows.
• Documentation Management: Maintain version control, ensure consistent formatting, and organize documents for easy retrieval.
• Audit & Compliance Support: Review current practices against SOPs and regulatory standards to identify gaps and suggest improvements.
• Process Mapping: Observe logistics workflows (e.g., scheduling, receiving, dispatch) and document them using flowcharts and structured formats.
• Regulatory Review: Cross-check operations against safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., reefer container handling) and flag discrepancies.
• Data Collection & Reporting: Compile operational data such as delivery times, downtime, and compliance records for internal reporting.
Skills and Qualifications
• Analytical Thinking Ability to identify inefficiencies, compliance gaps, and suggest improvements.
• Process Documentation Skilled in using flowcharts, structured text, and tables to map logistics workflows.
• Basic Logistics Knowledge Understanding of warehouse operations, scheduling, and freight handling.
