Role Purpose

Designs, delivers, and evaluates learning experiences that build Fellows’ capabilities as leaders in the classroom and beyond, aligned to the Student and Fellow Vision and the national Fellowship curriculum.

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Deliver engaging, learner-centered training experiences for Fellows through the facilitation of in-person and virtual sessions, including Induction, workshops, and ongoing learning spaces throughout the Fellowship.
  2. Support the execution of the national Fellowship curriculum by designing specific modules or components, aligned to the overall strategy set by the Design & Training Manager.
  3. Take ownership of content delivery and propose improvements based on facilitation reflections, Fellow feedback, and evolving programme needs.
  4. Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Leadership Development, MEL, and Stakeholder Engagement to ensure training is contextualised, data-informed, and aligned with broader organisational goals.
  5. Engage with external stakeholders—including school leaders, MOE representatives, and private sector partners—where relevant, to support training delivery and community-based learning.
  6. Work closely with the MEL team to gather and analyse training data (e.g. Fellow satisfaction, learning outcomes, and application of content) to inform continuous improvement.
  7. Contribute to a strong internal learning culture by sharing best practices, supporting interns, and collaborating with peers and junior team members.
  8. Occasionally support training-related requests from other functions, contributing to internal team upskilling or external engagement when capacity allows.

Technical/ Functional competencies:

  • Proven skills in group facilitation and delivering engaging, learner-centered training sessions for diverse audiences.
  • Strong grasp of session design and curriculum development, with familiarity in adult learning theory and pedagogy.
  • Ability to assess training impact and improve learning experiences based on both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Technologically confident in using tools such as Google Workspace, Zoom, PowerPoint, and platforms like Salesforce and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with leadership development frameworks and their application in teacher training or youth leadership contexts.
  • Experience in literacy and numeracy intervention is an added advantage.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including weekends and extended periods on-site when required to support Fellows and programme delivery.

Experiences & qualification

  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in the education, facilitation, training, or social impact sectors.
  • Experience in training delivery and curriculum design is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in community engagement, teacher development, or social innovation is an added advantage.
  • Strong command of English (spoken and written); working proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
