Role Purpose

The Special Projects Coordinator will bridge the gap between STEM pedagogy and digital storytelling. Working closely with the supervisor, the associate will assist in storyboarding, production logistics, video editing, and stakeholder coordination. The role requires independence in execution, strong organizational skills, and the ability to translate feedback into actionable improvements, while ensuring alignment with the overall project direction. Your work will directly enable our Duta Guru to lead world-class Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) across the nation.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Support the planning and execution of Brightspot & Digital Module projects to ensure all milestones and timelines are met.
  • Develop structured storyboards and scripts that translate complex pedagogical concepts into engaging visual content.
  • Manage end-to-end production logistics, including stakeholder interviews and on-site supervision of filming.
  • Execute post-production editing to deliver high-quality video assets aligned with learning objectives and brand standards.
  • Facilitate internal and stakeholder feedback sessions to gather and synthesize actionable insights for refinement.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and knowledge-sharing playbooks to ensure transparency and scalability for future use.
  • Support additional responsibilities and ad-hoc tasks as needed to contribute to the team.

Technical/ Functional competencies:

  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), Confluence and familiar with basic project management tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Proficient in DaVinci Resolve for video editing and production of high-quality drafts.
  • Basic graphic/visual design (e.g., Canva, Photoshop).
  • Familiarity with video/audio equipment setup.
  • Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in educational, training, or non-profit environments.

Leadership competencies:

  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage multiple streams of work, and independently prioritise tasks while keeping the supervisor informed and aligned.

Experiences & qualification

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Multimedia, Project Management, Education Technology, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience (including internship or volunteer experience) in project coordination, video production, or digital content development.
  • Strong written and verbal skills and excellent proficiency in English and basic proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia
