Role Purpose
Design, implement, and strengthen data systems to measure Program Duta Guru’s progress and impact, enabling data-driven decisions, fostering a learning culture, and ensuring clear, credible communication of outcomes to both internal and external stakeholders.
Principal Accountabilities
- Define and refine programme performance and impact metrics, ensuring that data collected is rigorous, relevant, and fit for purpose.
- Design systems and tools for data collection, validation, and visualisation to ensure efficient and accurate reporting across the programme lifecycle.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative data analysis, translating insights into actionable recommendations to improve programme strategy and execution.
- Equip Program Duta Guru team members with the knowledge and tools to access, interpret, and apply data in decision-making through training, coaching, and collaborative reviews.
- Produce and deliver clear, compelling reports and data narratives that articulate Program Duta Guru’s progress and impact to funders, government partners, and internal audiences.
- Establish and maintain strong data governance practices to safeguard data integrity, confidentiality, and ethical usage.
- Collaborate with the Research & Data team, Teach For All network, and other external partners to ensure alignment with global evaluation standards and evolving best practices.
- Support the organisation to cultivate a learning-oriented, data-informed culture across Program Duta Guru and the wider Teach For Malaysia ecosystem.

Technical/ Functional competencies:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and in Bahasa Malaysia.
- Skilled in using data visualisation tools such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, or Power BI.
- Proficient in designing and implementing data collection systems, including survey tools and evaluation frameworks.
- Knowledge of research methodologies and experience conducting programme evaluations, both qualitative and quantitative.

Experiences & qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, impact measurement, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline such as Data Science, Statistics, Education or related fields.
- Prior experience in the education sector or social impact organisations is an advantage.
