OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
Teach For Malaysia is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual for the role of Community Learning and Development, Senior Associate. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, organizing, and implementing educational community events. This role is crucial to our goal of fostering inclusive, engaging, and educational environments that inspire the larger Malaysian community.

To design and implement impactful training programs that empower volunteers, community leaders, parents, and partners; to rigorously measure and enhance the effectiveness of these programs through comprehensive monitoring and evaluation; and to strategically engage diverse communities, fostering strong partnerships and sustainable growth. Through these efforts, the Community Programmes Senior Associate will contribute to the overall mission of the organization, driving positive change and community development.
This role requires not only a strategic and creative mind but also a passionate heart, as the Community Learning and Development, Senior Associate. champions our mission, bringing our vision to life through vibrant community and interactive learning experiences.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities for the role include but is not limited to the following:-
1. Training Module Development and Implementation:
- Research and Analysis: Conduct PLC’s to understand the needs and preferences of volunteers, community leaders, parents, and broader community partners.
- Curriculum Development: Design comprehensive training modules that are relevant, engaging, and effective in building the necessary skills and knowledge for each target group.
- Resource Creation: Develop and produce training materials, such as guides, handouts, presentations, and digital content.
- Feedback Integration: Collect and integrate feedback from pilot sessions and early implementations to continuously improve the training modules.
- Facilitation: Lead training sessions and workshops for volunteers, community leaders, parents, and partners.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other team members and stakeholders to align training modules with the overall goals and strategies of the organization.
2. Manage Digital Learning Platform and Content
- User Management: Oversee the registration, enrollment, and management of users on the digital learning platform.
- Content Management: Upload and organize course materials, multimedia content, and resources on the platform.
- Analytics: Monitor and analyze platform usage data to track user engagement, course completion rates, and other key metrics.
- Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on platform performance, user feedback, and improvement opportunities.
- Review and Feedback: Regularly review course content and user feedback to ensure courses meet quality standards and learning objectives.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement changes and updates to courses based on user feedback and performance data to enhance the learning experience.
3. Monitoring and Evaluation
- Impact Measurement Framework Development:
- Framework Design: Develop robust frameworks for measuring the impact of training modules, including defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics.
- Tool Development: Create and implement tools for data collection, such as surveys, assessments, and feedback forms.
- Data Collection and Analysis:
- Data Gathering: Collect quantitative and qualitative data from training participants, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all data collected.
- Analysis: Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of training modules and identify areas for improvement.
- Reporting and Communication:
- Report Creation: Prepare detailed reports on the impact of training programs, including data visualizations and narrative summaries.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, funders, and community partners.
4. Support on Community Engagement
- Identification: Support in identifying and target new communities, specifically PPRs (People’s Housing Projects), for program expansion.
- Engagement: Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage existing broader community members and leaders
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with broader community members to foster trust and collaboration.
- Feedback Mechanisms: Establish channels for ongoing feedback from broader community members
Key Measures of Success
The Community Programmes Senior Associate is crucial in driving the following:
- Training Module Development and Implementation:- Effectively design and implement training modules for volunteers, community leaders, parents and other partners
- Digital Learning Platform and Content - Oversee user registration, enrollment, and management, and organize course materials and multimedia content on the digital learning platform. Monitor platform usage data, generate reports on performance and feedback, and implement continuous improvements to ensure courses meet quality standards and learning objectives.
- Monitoring and Evaluation – Effectively develop and execute impact measurement frameworks including data collection and analysis on the training modules
- Community Engagement - Effectively engage CM’s various communities specifically PPR’s for programs to expand into. Good communication with community partners and leaders as well as parents.

Years of experience & qualification
- At least 2-4 years experience in organising and facilitating training sessions and module creations or related activities.
- Bachelor's degree in any field. Preferences for education, social sciences or related fields

Language & Technical Proficiency
- Strong written and verbal skills and excellent proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English
- Excellent proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Willing and able to readily adopt and utilise any TFM database or technological platform/application (i.e. Google Suites, Confluence, Salesforce, Zoom etc.)
