Reporting Line: Coaching and Support Manager

Role Purpose

Facilitate the effective, aligned, and responsive delivery of Program Duta Guru at the regional level, ensuring participants receive impactful support and development through collaboration with Pembimbing Duta Guru, stakeholders, and the broader Program Duta Guru team — enabling the growth of competent STEM educators and leaders for Malaysian classrooms.

Principal Accountabilities

  1. Plan and facilitate regional training and development activities, including workshops, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), and coaching and mentoring sessions, tailored to participants’ evolving needs.in collaboration with important local stakeholders such as Duta Guru, SISC+, PSN (Penyelaras STEM Negeri) at district/ state levels.
  2. Build and sustain a collaborative learning culture among participants in the region, nurturing professional relationships and peer-to-peer support networks.
  3. Monitor, track, and analyse participant progress and impact, using data to identify growth opportunities and address development needs.
  4. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with schools, state and district education offices, and other education stakeholders to ensure participants are supported in driving student and systemic impact.
  5. Collaborate with local education partners and regional private sector networks to enhance the professional growth of participants and work in collaboration with key stakeholders at district and state level.
  6. Ensure the smooth execution of administrative and reporting requirements, aligned with the Ministry of Education’s guidelines and TFM’s processes.
  7. Contribute to a unified and high-quality program experience by working closely with the national Program Duta Guru team, sharing insights and best practices across different regions.

Technical/ Functional competencies:

  • Understanding of teaching and learning principles, classroom leadership, and pupil progression.
  • Strong project management, data analysis and contextual reasoning skills to guide strategic support for participants.
  • Clear, confident, and engaging communicator — both written and verbal — in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • High adaptability and resilience in navigating fast-paced, evolving, and uncertain environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite platforms; open to learning additional systems such as Confluence, Salesforce, and Zoom.
  • Ability to travel independently between work sites, including inter-state or remote areas, as required.

Experiences & qualification

  • 2-4 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
  • Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience or experience working with in-service teachers
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or adult facilitation is an advantage.
  • Exposure to STEM education practices, including higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) and familiarity with national or global STEM trends, is an added advantage.
