Assistant Teacher

Job Responsibilities:

Academic Support:

• Assist in student learning across core subjects.
• Support teachers in lesson delivery and classroom management.
• Stay updated with curriculum developments and best practices.
• Maintain high expectations and proactively respond to student needs.
• Participate in training and continuous professional development (CPD).

Pastoral Care:

• Promote kindness, positive behavior, and student well-being.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students and parents.
• Support extra-curricular activities and House events.
• Safeguard students and report any concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Supervise students during non-lesson times as required.

General Responsibilities:

• Uphold the school’s ethos and professional standards.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Assist with marketing and support major school events.
• Maintain punctuality, professional attire, and adhere to school policies.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent.
• PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification considered for Lead Assistant Teacher role.
• Fluency in English is essential.
