Job Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced diagnostics, surgeries, and treatments for small animal patients.
- Support and lead clinical decision-making and manage complex or critical cases effectively.
- Mentor and supervise junior veterinary surgeons and support staff in day-to-day clinical functions.
- Oversee and uphold the standards of care, patient safety, and client communication across all clinical services.
- Collaborate closely with the management team to enhance clinical operations and workflow efficiency.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of medical records, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with clinic protocols.
- Support continuing professional development (CPD) for junior veterinarians and the paraprofessional team.
- Take lead in managing emergency cases, providing clinical direction, and ensuring effective teamwork during critical situations
Job Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent, recognized by the relevant veterinary board or council
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in small animal practice
- Proven competency in soft tissue surgeries (orthopedic surgeries / advanced procedures are a plus)
- Excellent clinical judgment, leadership, and mentoring abilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for client and team interactions
- Able to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced team environment
- Registered or eligible for registration with the national veterinary regulatory body
