We are seeking a Workshop Operations Intern to join our Warranty / Technical Services / Workshop team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable hands-on experience in workshop operations, hardware preparation, inventory management, and asset lifecycle support.

You will work alongside experienced technicians and engineers, supporting the preparation, maintenance, inspection, and management of IT equipment while learning industry best practices in technical services and operational excellence.

Workshop Operations

• Assist in workshop preparation and daily operational activities.
• Support hardware deployment and installation activities.
• Assist technicians in basic hardware upgrades such as RAM, SSD, and peripheral installation.
• Perform device setup, software installation, and system updates under supervision.
• Ensure work areas are organized, clean, and comply with workplace safety requirements.

Rental Hardware Return Management

• Receive and inspect returned rental devices (laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, and accessories).
• Clean and sanitize returned hardware according to company standards.
• Verify asset tags, serial numbers, and accessories against inventory records.
• Identify and report physical damage, missing accessories, or functional issues.
• Assist in segregating devices for redeployment, repair, or disposal.

👤 Who You Are

• Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and peripherals.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Able to handle physical inventory and equipment movement when required.
• Willing to learn and work in a hands-on workshop environment.
• Responsible, disciplined, and detail oriented.

Technical Skills (Preferred)

• Basic understanding of:
  • Computer Hardware Components
  • Laptop and Desktop Systems
  • Printers and Peripherals
  • Windows Operating Systems
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Previous experience assembling or troubleshooting computers is an added advantage.
