Job Summary
Manage and support a broad range of payment operations functions, including partner and merchant onboarding, card operations, wallet and issuing operations, acquiring support, settlement and reconciliation, and operational service quality. Ensure operational processes are executed accurately and efficiently while maintaining compliance, service standards, and strong stakeholder engagement across internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Partner and Merchant Onboarding
- Manage end-to-end onboarding activities for partners and merchants, including due diligence, risk assessment, account setup, documentation management, and go-live support while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal standards, and service level commitments.
Card Operations and Management
- Oversee card operational activities including scheme partner registration, card production coordination, issuance reconciliation, card lifecycle support, transaction monitoring, and fulfilment management to ensure operational continuity and service excellence.
Wallet and Issuing Operations
- Execute and support wallet and issuing operational processes, including fund movements, account maintenance, balance management, refunds, partner offboarding activities, and operational issue resolution while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective stakeholder communication.
Acquiring Operations Support
- Support acquiring-related operational activities by managing partner operational requests, renewal fee processing, refund coordination, reporting requirements, and issue resolution to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
Settlement and Reconciliation Management
- Perform settlement processing and reconciliation activities across payment channels, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, timely resolution of discrepancies, effective stakeholder coordination, and maintenance of audit-ready documentation.
Operations Support and Service Quality
- Serve as an operational escalation point across assigned functions, driving issue resolution, SLA adherence, process documentation, continuous improvement initiatives, audit readiness, incident management, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance operational effectiveness and service quality.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Diploma or Degree in Finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in payment operations, banking operations, fintech operations, or a related environment.
- Hands-on experience in at least two operational functions, including onboarding, card operations, wallet operations, acquiring support, settlement, or reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of operational controls, process management, and service delivery principles.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a structured and process-oriented approach.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage internal stakeholders, partners, and customer-facing teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ticketing, workflow, or case management systems.
- Ability to act as an escalation point and coordinate issue resolution across multiple stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with card bureau operations, card issuance processes, or payment processing and switching platforms.
- Familiarity with local and regional payment schemes, network requirements, and operational compliance obligations.
- Exposure to KYC/KYB processes and regulatory onboarding requirements.
- Experience within a fintech, issuer, acquirer, payment processor, or regulated financial services environment.
- Understanding of wallet operations, fund management processes, or e-money regulatory frameworks.
- Experience preparing operational reports, reconciliations, or management reporting materials.
- Exposure to audit support, operational risk management, or process improvement initiatives.
