The Certification Specialist supports the certification process within the organization by ensuring the payment products meet regulatory and industry standards from time to time.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute certification testing for EMV, PCI and other required standards. This includes but not limited to EMV L2/L3, PCI DSS/PIN/SPoC/CPoC/MPoC.
- Coordinate with international and domestic payment networks such as Visa, Mastercard, MyDebit, eftpos, etc to develop the up-to-date standard requirements into payment product.
- Work with certification labs and regulatory bodies to resolve issues encountered during certification.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal certification processes and documentation for partners and clients integrating with our platform.
- Assist in defining certification requirements and acceptance criteria for partner and client integrations.
- Support internal and external stakeholders in addressing and resolving certification related inquiries by providing regular updates on certification progress.Continuously upskill by staying updated on the latest changes in certification standards and requirements and sharing them with the relevant stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Possesses a degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve test failures.
- Ability to multitask to manage multiple certifications and meet deadlines.
Nice-to-Have:
- 1- 2 years of experience in payment system certification, including but not limited to EMVCo, PCI, and relevant standards.
- Understanding of payment terminals, transaction flows, and acquiring systems.
- Familiarity with transaction processing protocols (ISO 8583, NFC, contact/contactless payments, cryptography for payments).
- Proficiency in using test tools like UL Brand Test Tool, FIME, ICCSim, and network-specific simulators.
- Experience working with test labs, acquiring banks, and card schemes is a plus.
