As a Financial Analyst at Soft Space, you will be instrumental in supporting strategic decision-making through high-quality financial analysis and modeling. You will analyse performance metrics, develop forecasts, and provide actionable insights to drive business growth and efficiency. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to evaluate new initiatives, assess financial risks and returns, and support budgeting and planning processes.
You will also contribute to investment and business case evaluations, helping the company to scale with clarity and confidence. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic and Financial Planning
- Project Analysis: Research for any potential market opportunities for the company or a specific project and provide insights to guide strategic planning and ensure alignment with overall company goals.
- Financial Insights: Liaise with business and relevant personnel in building business cases for existing/new projects and providing clear, data-driven reports.
- Market Research: Analyze market segments, competitive landscape, and industry trends to support informed decision-making by the management team.
- Decision-Making: Prepare regular insight reports for the Board of Directors and management team, to support strategic decision-making.
- Business Partnership: Work closely with business and finance teams to review financial performance, monitor budget and forecast planning for each project.
Capital Raising
- Assist in the preparation of investment memorandums, financial reports, and other key materials to support the overall capital raising exercise.
- Support due diligence-related activities, including the preparation of relevant documentation and information required for potential investments and M&A opportunities (if any).
Investor Relation (IR)
- Support investor relations activities by preparing accurate and timely reports, updates, presentations, and analysis to ensure consistent and transparent communication with shareholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Must-Have:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, investment or related field.
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in financial analysis or related field.
- A dynamic personality with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced agile workforce and collaboratively work within cross departments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong critical thinker with the ability to analyze complex issues, challenge assumptions, and develop practical, data-driven solutions.
- Proficient in financial modeling techniques and creating accurate forecasts to support decision-making.
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial systems to interpret financial information.
- Ability to clearly communicate and present findings in a concise, understandable manner to stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Accountable for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of work. Ability to deliver results with professionalism and attention to detail.
- Ability to convey financial concepts and analysis findings effectively to stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have:
- Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, ACCA or CIMA (is an added advantage)
- Exposure to financial analytics, business analytics, financial modeling, and management consulting is preferred.
- Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and adapt to new tools and technologies. Understanding the business environment, industry trends, and market dynamics to support strategic decisions.
