Role Purpose:

The Senior Manager, Fuel & PETRONAS leads Setel’s Fuel and PETRONAS commercial portfolio by owning revenue delivery across all fuel-related business segments, managing strategic relationships, and driving account-level performance through a team of account managers. The role ensures fuel volume targets are achieved by translating commercial strategy into disciplined execution, maintaining strong partner relationships, and continuously expanding the portfolio through new commercial opportunities.

In this role you will:

  • Serve as Setel's most senior commercial relationship owner with PETRONAS across all touchpoints — fuel, lubricants, and convenience retail — while simultaneously owning the ground-level commercial network of station operators, dealers, and fleet accounts that delivers fuel volume at scale.
  • Hold ultimate accountability for Setel's fuel volume targets across the entire account portfolio, owning the number at the top and driving each Manager to deliver their segment of it with commercial rigour and urgency.
  • Lead Setel's engagement with PETRONAS at the most senior levels of the relationship, stepping in personally when negotiations require executive presence, when contract terms require escalation, or when the relationship requires senior stewardship to protect Setel's commercial position.
  • Direct the team's external partnership agenda across all segments, ensuring that new commercial partnerships that drive fuel volume growth are actively pursued, commercially structured, and converted into signed agreements alongside the core PETRONAS relationship.
  • Translate the commercial strategies and growth plans developed by Commercial Strategy into segment-level execution priorities across the three Manager roles, ensuring every account team operates with a clear revenue mandate and a disciplined approach to both hunting new opportunities and farming existing ones.
  • Own the commercial health of the entire fuel account portfolio, maintaining visibility of performance across all segments, identifying risks before they become volume shortfalls, and driving the interventions needed to stay on track.
  • Build the capability and commercial ambition of the account management team, setting the standard for how Setel negotiates, structures, and grows its most important fuel partnerships at every level of the market.
  • General Responsibilities: All employees are required to ensure adherence to the compliance of company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements. All employees are expected to assist with tasks, projects, and other duties related to the role, as and when deemed necessary.

You're a great fit if you have:

  • 10-15 years of experience in commercial, partnerships, account management, or business development roles.
  • Proven track record in revenue ownership and delivery.
  • Experience managing large account portfolios or commercial segments.
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders, including corporate or GLC environments.
  • Experience leading and developing commercial or account management teams.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
