Role Purpose:

A creative and data driven Associate of Social Media to support and grow Setel’s brand presence across multiple platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Youtube and emerging channels. This role requires strong content creation skills, a solid grasp of platform trends and ability to turn ideas into engaging content that resonates with different audiences.

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with the Social Media Assistant Manager to plan, develop and execute social media strategies that align with brand goals and campaign objectives.
  • Create and manage monthly and weekly tailored content calendars across assigned social media platforms.
  • Oversee daily interactions with followers [replying comments, DMs, mentions] to maintain a strong, engaging brand voice and monitor conversations to identify content opportunities.
  • Plan, coordinate and host social media livestreams across platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook), including scripting, technical setup and engagement strategy to drive viewership and interaction
  • Use analytics tools (eg. Hootsuite, Meltwater) to track performance, gather insights and produce reports - then optimize content accordingly.
  • Support in sourcing, liaising and maintaining relationships with content creators including preparing brief, scheduling and performance tracking.
  • Ideate and collaborate with designers to produce static and interactive content.
  • Study on the latest social and cultural trends, platform updates and viral formats to strategize and craft content to the fullest.
  • Ensure adherence to the compliance of company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.

You're A Great Fit If You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Communications/Multimedia or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years experience in Social Media Marketing

Functional Skills:

  1. Excellent copywriting and communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia & English.
  2. Up to date on social media trends and competitive insights.
  3. Familiar with analytics tools like Meta Business Suite, TikTok Creator Tools, Hootsuite & Meltwater.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  5. Intermediate editing skills in editing application / software [CapCut, TikTok]

  2. Ability to delegate tasks successfully and communicate clearly

  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
