Introduced in July 2018, Setel is a mobile platform that aims to delight customers by innovating for better, inclusive mobility. Setel serves customers across Malaysia by powering one app as the constant companion to ease motorists’ journey across fueling, parking, EV charging, motor insurance, road tax, auto assistance, general purchases, and more across an ecosystem of PETRONAS petrol stations, retail partners, and online merchants.
Role Purpose:
Drive, develop, implement and oversee the organization's enterprise risk management framework, including Identifying, assessing, and monitoring risk mitigations that could impact the organization’s ability to achieve its strategic and operational objectives
Key Responsibilities:
1.Risk Governance
- Drive implementation of the organization's enterprise risk management framework, policies, and procedures in line with the Group’s risk resiliency model and regulatory requirements
2.Risk Profiling
- Establish, review and update Corporate Risk Profile and monitor Key Risk Indicator (KRI). Identify and evaluate potential risks across all areas of the organization, including strategic, operational, financial, and compliance risks. Conduct risk assessments to determine the likelihood and impact of identified risks and review effectiveness of KRI and thresholds.
3.Risk Performance
- Maintain risk register through Corporate Risk Profile, monitor Key Risk Indicators and Risk Mitigations, facilitate and syndicate with risk and mitigation owners on updates of Corporate Risk Profile, review quarterly risk reports and provide progress update to management and board
4.Risk Assessment
- Provide advisory role and perform risk assessment to facilitate decision making (which includes approval memo/paper, MIS papers, Board Papers and Regulatory approvals)
5.Business Continuity Management
- Oversee Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Crisis Management programs, including the development, testing, and updating of continuity plans and crisis response procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards related to BCM and crisis management, and perform annual review of Business Continuity Management Framework.
6.Risk Awareness & Capability
- Lead the development and delivery of training programs to increase risk awareness and promote a risk-conscious culture within the organization. Provide guidance and support to departments in implementing risk management practices.
7.General Responsibility
- All employees are required to ensure adherence to the compliance of company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.
You're a great fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or risk professional certification are advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in identifying potential risks across strategic, operational, financial, and compliance areas.

- Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and recommend enhancements.
