The Future of Mobility
Introduced in July 2018, Setel is a mobile platform that aims to delight customers by innovating for better, inclusive mobility. Setel serves customers across Malaysia by powering one app as the constant companion to ease motorists’ journey across fueling, parking, EV charging, motor insurance, road tax, auto assistance, general purchases, and more across an ecosystem of PETRONAS petrol stations, retail partners, and online merchants.
In this role you will:
- Support the design team in producing high-quality user interfaces and experiences that solve user and business problems.
- Assist in user research and testing, gathering insights to inform design decisions.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers in brainstorming and problem-solving sessions.
- Help create wireframes, prototypes, and detailed design specifications to communicate design proposals effectively.
- Participate in stakeholder discussions by contributing ideas and insights on improving user experience.
- Advocate for the end user by ensuring design decisions are user-centered and data-informed.
- Learn to use design tools, methodologies, and best practices while working on real projects.
- Support the continuous improvement of our design system to maintain consistency across products.
- Assist with any related tasks, projects, and other assigned duties as and when deemed necessary.
- Ensure adherence to the compliance of company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.
You're a great fit if you have/are:
- 5-6 months internship period and can join us on May 2/May 15
- A strong interest in UI/UX design, user research, and digital product development.
- A proactive and curious mindset, with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
- Basic knowledge of Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or other design tools.
- Ability to communicate design ideas effectively and collaborate with teams.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma/degree in Design, HCI, UX, or related fields.
- A portfolio showcasing design projects, coursework, or personal work (a plus but not required).
- An eagerness to work in a fast-paced, collaborative product design team.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
