Role Purpose:

Manage and handle the sourcing of goods and services requested by business users for Setel

Ventures Sdn Bhd (Setel), including liaising with suppliers to coordinate and liaise for timely

delivery and preparing procurement reports to monitor the progress and status of all

procurement activities.

In This Role You Will:

  • Manage contractor/supplier registration to ensure eligibility requirements are met, including background checks of contractors/ suppliers and evaluation of new product/services to determine the suitability of vendors/products/services based on the advice from user departments.
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers and maintaining good relationships with existing suppliers.
  • Review, compare, and analysis of goods and services before purchase to ensure cost- effectiveness without compromising specifications and quality requirements.
  • Execution of end-to-end procurement activities, i.e. compilation of tender documents, statement of work, etc. in compliance with the Company’s procurement policies and procedures.
  • Processing and preparation of purchase orders for issuance to vendors/suppliers and performing receipts of goods and services in accordance with the Company’s procurement policies and procedures.
  • Produce procurement reports for better managing the contract/agreement by analyzing actual contract value utilization against budget to ensure that the spending is within the approved amount and monitor the expiry of the contract.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all signed contracts/agreements and contract register to ensure timely contract renewal.
  • Assist with any related tasks, projects, and other assigned duties as and when deemed necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to the compliance of company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management,
  • Business Administration Purchasing Management, or its equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience in startup companies is a bonus.
  • Have a passion for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Adapt multi-tasker and attentive to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
