Setel serves customers across Malaysia by powering one app as the constant companion to ease motorists’ journey across fueling, parking, EV charging, motor insurance, road tax, auto assistance, general purchases, and more across an ecosystem of PETRONAS petrol stations, retail partners, and online merchants.
Role Purpose:
Partnering with the business in delivering performance analysis and insights, drive financial planning and provide financial advisory and evaluations on business opportunities and commercial arrangements in support of business growth and sustainability.
In This Role You Will:
Performance Reporting:
- Review and provide business insights and analysis on monthly, quarterly and yearly performance report to management and Board.
- Formulate projections and forecast trend of financial performance.
Planning & Budgeting:
- Provide inputs on strategic targets and business plans.
- Drive and facilitate annual budgeting exercise with business teams and lead for budget approval.
- Drive cost leadership initiatives and validation of cost optimization initiative.
- Monitor budget utilization, including review and provide advisory on business approval papers.
Finance Advisory:
- Provide finance advisory and analysis for business initiatives and commercial contracts.
- Conduct financial evaluation and sensitivity analysis on business arrangements and opportunities to ensure value creation and economic return.
Commercial Finance:
- Perform analysis and liaison on funding requirements, commercial and contractual matters.
e-Money Management:
- Monitor and manage fund flow activities for eMoney (OEML, Trust account) in compliance with BNM requirements, including monitoring daily reconciliations and merchant settlements.
Tax:
- Overseeing preparation and submission of tax estimates, corporate tax and Indirect Tax returns.
- Liaison for tax advisory on business operations and growth areas for proper tax planning.
Initiative/Add-Hoc Task:
- Plan or lead any additional tasks relating to the Finance operations activities. This may include among others but not limited to system and process improvements and company or enterprise-wide initiatives.
General Responsibilities:
- All employees are required to ensure adherence to the compliance of company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.
You're A Great Fit If You Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years experience in Finance role, with specific experience in Fintech and/or e-wallet industry
- Strong knowledge and experience of Finance accounting and reporting standards, principles and practices.
- Self-starter and excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g. SAP) and MS Office.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
