Introduced in July 2018, Setel is a mobile platform that aims to delight customers by innovating for better, inclusive mobility. Setel serves customers across Malaysia by powering one app as the constant companion to ease motorists’ journey across fueling, parking, EV charging, motor insurance, road tax, auto assistance, general purchases, and more across an ecosystem of PETRONAS petrol stations, retail partners, and online merchants.
Role Purpose:
To assist the development, implementation and refinement of Setel’s strategic direction through market analysis, internal company analysis and portfolio management to facilitate value-based decision making. The role also involves oversight and assisting of business and project leads to align with the company’s key strategies.
In This Role You Will:
Develop and refine Setel’s strategic direction and growth trajectory
- Conduct market studies, competitor analysis/benchmarking
- Conduct evaluation on business development opportunities, strategic ventures
- Identification of new business opportunities
Assist incubation and development of MVPs
- Managing portfolio of opportunities
- Perform business case development and analysis
- Assist with project management
Assist in conducting strategy and portfolio discussions with Management
- Prepare periodic or ad-hoc updates and discussions with Management
- Prepare discussion material and analysis
Assist with any related tasks, projects, and other assigned duties as and when deemed necessary.
Ensure adherence to the compliance of company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.

- A degree in accounting & finance, corporate finance, economics, mathematics and statistics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions and teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
