Role Purpose:

We’re looking for a Principal Test Automation Engineer to join the Setel technology team.

The Principal Test Automation Engineer is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of automated testing strategies and tools for web, mobile (iOS and Android), performance, and security testing. This role ensures that the automated testing process is efficient, reliable, and cost-effective in the delivery of high-quality software products.

In This Role You Will:

• Lead test automation team to develop and maintain a test automation framework for regression, performance, and security testing.
• Strong knowledge of test automation environment setup and end-to-end test automation process.
• Collaborate with QA and engineering leaders to identify and prioritise areas for test automation.
• Review automated test scripts on multiple platforms, such as web (Selenium), iOS, and Android (Appium) with Java.
• Review regression automation test results and provide signoff for release.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the test automation process to maximise efficiency and follow industry best practices.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to test automation.
• Work with QA and engineering leaders to ensure that test automation is integrated into the software testing lifecycle and software release process.
• Provide training and support on the use of test automation tools and processes.
• Assist with any related tasks, projects, and other assigned duties as and when deemed necessary.

You’re A Great Fit If You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in test automation including experience managing automated testing processes and tools.
• Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages, such as Java or C#
• Must have experience with web automation tools - Selenium
• Nice to have experience with mobile automation tools - Appium or similar 
• Nice to have experience with performance tools - Grafana k6 or JMeter
• Experience with bug-tracking tools, such as Jira
• Experience with test automation pipeline in CI/CD tool. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience working with a distributed team across multiple time zones. 
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
