Role Purpose:

The Executive, Technical Designer will be a key player in the product development process, ensuring that designs seamlessly translate into technically feasible and high-quality products. You will bridge the gap between creative vision and engineering reality, contributing to the overall success of our innovative projects. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, technical proficiency, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. 

In this role you will:

• Collaborate with creative teams to understand design concepts and translate them into technical specifications.
• Work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of design and technical aspects.
• Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation to communicate design intent to the engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure accurate implementation of design specifications.
• Participate in the prototyping phase, providing technical insights to refine designs.
• Conduct testing and evaluation of prototypes to identify and address any technical challenges.
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that final products meet design and technical standards.
• Work closely with quality assurance teams to address any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Provide technical expertise to support decision-making during the product development process. 
• Assist with any related tasks, projects, and other assigned duties as and when deemed necessary.
• Ensure adherence to the compliance of company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.

You're a great fit if you have:

• Candidates must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in technical design, product development, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other technical design tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in technical documentation.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to address technical challenges creatively.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales/marketing/ecommerce industry, preferably within Malaysia/SEA
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, solve complex problems, and develop creative solutions
• Adept multi-tasker with ability to quickly prioritize and effectively delegate tasks
• Effective verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Forward thinking and agile mindset
• Prior startup experience is a bonus 
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
