Role Purpose:

The Executive, Business Development and Key Account Manager is tasked with identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities while maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing clients. This role is crucial for driving revenue growth, expanding our market presence, and ensuring the overall success and sustainability of our organization through strategic account management and business development efforts.

In This Role You Will Handle:



  • Strategic Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and opportunities, stay informed about industry trends, and comprehend the competitive landscape. This includes understanding the needs and behaviors of key accounts to ensure targeted and effective engagement strategies.
  • Business Strategy Development: Utilize insights from market data analysis to devise impactful business development and account management strategies, ensuring they are tailored to our unique position in the market and the specific needs of our key accounts.
  • Lead Generation, Networking, and Account Growth: Proactively generate new business leads and identify opportunities for expanding business within existing key accounts through various channels such as professional networking events, direct outreach, and digital platforms.
  • Client Relationship Management and Key Account Support: Identify and engage with key stakeholders in target and existing client organizations to initiate strategic discussions, fostering new business opportunities and reinforcing the commitment to current clients. This involves personalized account planning and management to understand and meet the evolving needs of key clients.
  • Client Retention, Satisfaction, and Account Development: Build and sustain lasting relationships with key accounts, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction through regular review meetings, understanding their business goals, and delivering solutions that meet their needs, thus promoting loyalty and long-term engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration for Client and Account Support: Collaborate effectively with various departments to align our offerings with client needs and key account strategies, ensuring a cohesive approach to addressing challenges and seizing opportunities.
  • Proposal Development and Customization: Craft compelling, tailored proposals that clearly communicate our value proposition to potential clients and address the specific needs and objectives of key accounts, highlighting the benefits of our partnership.
  • Negotiation, Deal Closure, and Account Expansion: Employ skilled negotiation techniques with new and existing clients to secure beneficial agreements that align with organizational goals and support the strategic development of key accounts.
  • Contract Coordination and Compliance: Work closely with legal and finance departments to ensure contracts are compliant, meet the strategic needs of key accounts, and are finalized in a timely manner.
  • Sales Forecasting, Reporting, and Account Analysis: Maintain accurate sales forecasts for new business and existing accounts, regularly updating leadership on market dynamics, competitive activities, opportunities for expansion, and the health and potential growth of key accounts.
  • Assist with any related tasks, projects, and other assigned duties as and when deemed necessary.
  • Ensure adherence to the compliance of company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.

You're A Great Fit If You Have:



  • Candidates must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in Marketing/ Business Studies/ Administration/ Management, or equivalent. 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales/marketing/ecommerce industry, preferably within Malaysia/SEA 
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, solve complex problems, and develop creative solutions
  • Adept multi-tasker with ability to quickly prioritize and effectively delegate tasks
  • Effective verbal communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Forward thinking and agile mindset
  • Prior startup experience is a bonus
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
