Job Title:- AMO Technician
Location:- Labuan F.T.
Role Summary:-
As AMO Technician, you’re responsible for troubleshooting, testing, assembling, repairing, and inspecting electro-mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The role requires diagnosing technical issues, performing complex maintenance activities, and supporting equipment modifications with minimal supervision. The incumbent utilizes electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools, interprets technical drawings and schematics, and maintains compliance with HS&E standards.
Essential Responsibilities:-
• Perform assembly, disassembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electro-mechanical equipment and components.
• Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and parts lists to execute maintenance activities.
• Utilize electrical and mechanical diagnostic tools to identify faults and verify equipment performance.
• Conduct inspections and functional testing to ensure equipment meets quality and operational standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance, repair, and testing records in accordance with company procedures.
• Adhere to HS&E, quality, and operational requirements while supporting reliability of CTD, MWD/LWD, and Surface equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements:-
• Technical Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical maintenance, repair, manufacturing, or industrial operations.
• Preferably past and current experience on CTD, MWD, LWD or Surface tools.
• Proficiency in soldering, assembly, and repair of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and parts lists.
• Hands-on experience using multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers, oscilloscopes, and precision measurement tools.
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC electrical circuits, fluid power systems, and electro-mechanical devices.
• Experience in oilfield services, aerospace, military, automotive, electronics, or similar industrial environments.
• Proficient computer skills, including maintenance reporting and data management systems.
