Position : Project Cost Control

Work Location : Kuala Lumpur F.T. (KLCC)

Qualification

  1. Education background : Degree in Accounting
  2. Year of work experience : Minimum 3-7 years of working experience in the Oil and Gas related industry with specific function in Project Cost Control, Cost estimation, or Project Control.

Additional Experience related

  1. Other Project Management area such as :-
  • Cost Estimation
  • Procurement/ Contract Management
  • Schedule Management
  • Risk Management
  1. Complete oil and gas project life cycle (Pre-Dev/FEL, EPCIC, Drilling, FDP formulation etc.)
  2. Received formal trainings or attended courses related to cost control, project control, project management or data analytics.

Competency/Skill

  1. Knowledgeable in Total Cost Management Concepts & Terminologies.
  2. Governance.
  3. Processes, tool & system and best practices for all Cost Control scope including:
  • Planning & budgeting
  • Actual cost & VOWD tracking
  • Forecasting
  • Cost & variance analysis
  • Reporting/documentation
  1. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  2. Solid networking and interpersonal skills
  3. Exceptionally well organized with an aptitude for data

Accreditation/Certification/Software to perform the function

  1. Intermediate or advance skill in Project control software such as:-
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
  • SAP PS
  • Primavera P6
  • Project control system (ex: EcoSys, P6 Unifi, SAP PMS or equivalent)
  1. Added advantage for candidate with accreditation/certification from Project Management Institution such as :-
  • PMI
  • AACEI

Job Purpose (Summarize briefly for job position)

  • Execute cost control activities for project or department including but not limited to :-
  1. Cost Planning
  2. Cost Budgeting
  3. Cost Control & Forecasting
  4. Cost Control Reporting, documentation & Cost Close Out

  • Focal/resource person for cost control related matters in project / department to :-
  1. Provide cost control advice to internal PMT as and when required.
  2. Attend project meeting and discussion
  3. Manage internal & external stakeholders
  4. Coordinate effective project control execution by supporting improvement initiative & training provided.
