About the Risk & Compliance Division: Managing risk to enable innovation without compromising trust. RCD identifies, manages, and mitigates emerging risks, safeguarding compliance and reinforcing organizational resilience across the payment ecosystem.
Summary of responsibility: This role implement PayNet’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework, fosters a strong risk culture, leads risk assessments, monitor risks and report incidents including to Management, the Board Risk Committee, the Board and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
Key responsibilities (maximum 6 bullet points):
- Risk Governance & Advisory – Drive the implementation of Enterprise Risk Management Framework to safeguard PayNet, its reputation, participants, and stakeholders’ interests.
- Risk Assessment & Oversight – Lead and facilitate risk assessments (e.g., Risk Control Self-Assessment, Project Risk Assessment, etc.) across PayNet to identify key risks, assess the effectiveness of controls and recommend improvements, while continuously monitor risk exposures and incidents to maintain effective risk management and oversight.
- Risk Reporting – Collate and analyse risk and operational data to support monitoring activities and provide actionable insights for management decision-making; assist in preparing risk reports to the Management the Board Risk Committee and the Board; and perform and ensure timely submission of Operational Risk Reporting (ORR) reports to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
- Risk Awareness & Culture – Promote risk awareness and a strong risk culture across the organisation.
- Regulatory Compliance – Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance standards, and support regulatory engagements where required
- Process Improvement – Drive continuous improvements and initiatives to enhance risk management practices, governance process, and operational efficiency.
What will make you successful?
- Min 4 years of experiences in enterprise risk management, with a strong understanding of risk management frameworks, methodologies and processes including project risk management
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance standards; familiarity with technology and security information best practices is an added advantage
- Understanding PayNet’s products and solutions as well as payment industry trends and relevant regulatory guidelines including but not limited to applicable policy documents issued by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to articulate and present findings clearly.
