Engineer - Real-time Payments Platform / Application Development

Overview

We seek a passionate and driven inidividual to join our team which oversees the Real-time Payments Platform (RPP). RPP is a 24X7 mission-critical solution that serves over five billion payment transactions annually.

As a software developer in this team, you will be delivering high-quality and timely solutions to meet market demands. You must be a self-starter, critical thinker, and able to produce results under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• • Develop features, fixes, new builds, and improvements to performance, scalability, and resiliency. The RPP landscape consists of gateway, interchange, back office, and middleware applications
  • Maintain robust software documentation including business flows, technical specifications, design diagrams, data model, release notes, and test cases
  • Actively participate in the software development lifecycle e.g. requirements gathering, scoping, testing, production implementation, and hyper care
  • Actively participate in ITSM processes such as change management, incident management, and root cause analysis
  • Provide after-hours support during production rollouts and crisis situations.
  • Stay abreast of technology and business trends to help foster innovation and efficiency within the organization.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or equivalent professional certification
• 3+ years as a software developer with exposure to system administration, data modelling, and security patterns
• 2+ years experience with Java frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate, and SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL)
• 1+ years of experience with other object-oriented programming languages such as Koitlin, Go, and Groovy. In this role, you must be flexible to adopt different technologies to suit the situation at hand
• Experience in developing APIs on frameworks such as Mulesoft, APISix, or Apigee preferred.
• Experience in version tools Git.
• Experience with system administration in Linux/Unix system preferred.
• Critical thinker and able to lend out-of-the box thinking in formulating solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Able to orchestrate multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
• Adaptable, flexible, and motivated to grow. Keen attention to detail with a passion in producing high-quality results. Strong sense of ownership and sees things through from start to finish
