Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled IT Infrastructure & Application Support Specialist with 5–8 years of experience to manage and support enterprise infrastructure and applications. This role requires a strong technical foundation in infrastructure, middleware, and application support, with hands-on experience in APIs, monitoring, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure & Middleware Management

  • Administer and maintain Linux and Windows server environments.
  • Manage middleware and web servers such as Apache, NGINX, IIS, Tomcat, and WebLogic.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across infrastructure layers.
  • Support cloud infrastructure (especially AWS) including service monitoring and API gateway tools.

Application & API Support

  • Provide Level 2/3 support for enterprise applications and RESTful APIs.
  • Use tools like Postman to test and troubleshoot APIs, understanding HTTP status codes, authentication methods, and data formats (JSON/XML).
  • Collaborate with development teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

  • Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch) to track performance and availability.
  • Conduct log analysis using tools like Splunk, ELK stack, or cloud-native logging services.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve incidents, problems, and changes in line with ITIL practices.

Automation & Scripting

  • Automate routine tasks and health checks using Shell, Python, or PowerShell scripts.
  • Maintain and improve infrastructure automation and monitoring scripts.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with application needs.
  • Document support procedures, configurations, and known issues.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and application support.
  • Strong understanding of OS fundamentals, networking (DNS, firewall, TCP/IP), and middleware.
  • Proficient in RESTful API support and debugging.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (especially AWS) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD and version control tools like Git.

Preferred Certifications:

  • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator / Solutions Architect
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • ITIL Foundation
  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA)
