SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Business Process Transformation Specialist/Manager, you will be instrumental in driving external process improvements, automation, and transformation, particularly within the Malaysia financial industry. Your primary objective will be to identify, implement, and oversee end-to-end transformation projects that bring significant benefits to both PayNet and the broader industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in process improvement and project management, capable of delivering impactful results that enhance operations and business efficiency for banks, fintech, merchants, and businesses.

This role combines statistical analysis, stakeholder management, technical and non-technical process research and system/automation tools/platforms with project management skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Process Improvement

  • Identify and analyze current industry processes to uncover opportunities for improvement and innovation, with a focus on enhancing operations and business efficiency for PayNet's clients and partners.
  • Develop comprehensive process maps, workflows, and standard operating procedures tailored to the needs of external stakeholders such as banks, fintech companies, merchants, and businesses.
  • Utilize advanced data analytics tools and techniques to measure, monitor, and report on process performance, outcomes, and trends.
  • Implement process improvement solutions using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Kanban, BPM/BPA, SIPOC, VSM, and Kaizen.
  • Ensure the successful end-to-end lifecycle management of external process improvement and automation initiatives.
  • Lead process improvement projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and quality delivery with substantial benefits to PayNet and the industry.
  • Engage and collaborate with external stakeholders, including financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and industry associations, to promote alignment and secure buy-in.
  • Provide training and coaching to external partners on process improvement tools and techniques to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate and sustain the impact of process improvement initiatives, ensuring long-term benefits and industry advancements.

2. Project Management

  • Manage the full lifecycle of external process improvement and automation projects, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful project execution.
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure clarity and consensus.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery, ensuring proactive problem-solving and stakeholder communication.
  • Report on project status, achievements, and challenges to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

3. Technical Expertise

  • Possess strong knowledge on process improvement methodologies and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools such as UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps including project governance and deliverables, documents/records management, and other related tools, methodologies or best practices.
  • Work closely with the team or stakeholders to design process transformation or improvement solutions that meet business requirements, focusing on PayNet's role as an e-payment service provider.
  • Review and optimize process/automation processes for efficiency and scalability.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in process improvement and automation-related technology, particularly in the context of financial services.

4. Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance

  • Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with process improvement and automation projects to ensure project success and sustainability.
  • Stay informed about regulatory requirements and ensure that all process improvement initiatives comply with local and international regulations.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address potential issues before they impact project delivery.
  • Work closely with regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with industry standards and practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of risk assessments and compliance activities to support regulatory audits and reviews.

5. Other Job Requirements

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities, ensuring that PayNet's solutions align with their objectives.
  • Work closely with other various teams to integrate process/automation solutions with existing systems and processes.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
  • Establish and enforce best practices within the team and process to ensure high-quality delivery of solutions.
  • Conduct reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Implement relevant strategies to ensure the reliability and accuracy of implemented solutions.
  • Document processes, automation processes, workflows, and configurations including technical documentation for business process, improvement, or automation projects.
  • Provide training and support to business users on process improvement or relevant solutions effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in process improvement, data analytics, project management, or a related role within the financial/banking/e-wallet industry.
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and others.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering successful transformation projects with measurable benefits.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the Malaysian financial industry and regulatory environment is a plus.

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable individual with the following qualifications:
  • Certified and strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and others.
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering successful transformation projects and automations with measurable benefits with experience in leading/managing technical teams
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills for area related to process improvement, data analytics, project management, system/information governance and automation environment – exceptional self-starter will be considered
  • Proficient in data analytics tools and software such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, or other related tools
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Experience in the IT banking and Telecommunications sector would be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of the Malaysian financial industry and regulatory environment is a plus.
