SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Public Relations Specialist at PayNet, you will be at the forefront of shaping and maintaining the company’s public image and reputation. Your role will involve strategic communications planning, development, and execution of PR campaigns, management of media relations, and ensuring all public communications align with PayNet’s brand identity and corporate values.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Strategic Communications Planning: Develop comprehensive communications strategies to enhance PayNet’s brand visibility and market position.
  2. Media Relations: Build and maintain relationships with key media players to enhance PayNet’s public profile. Handle media inquiries and interview requests, and act as a spokesperson for the company.
  3. Content Development: Craft press releases, speeches, op-eds, and other PR materials. Ensure all content is compelling, accurate, and aligned with strategic communication goals.
  4. Crisis Communications: Support in crisis communication planning and response, managing sensitive issues with discretion and strategic insight.
  5. Event Management and Publicity: Organise and manage public relations events, such as press conferences and media briefings, to enhance brand exposure.
  6. Brand Messaging: Work in tandem with marketing and brand teams to ensure consistency in PayNet’s brand messaging across all public relations initiatives.
  7. Performance Analysis: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of PR strategies and campaigns, using data-driven insights to refine approaches.
  8. Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment of messaging and objectives.
  9. Industry Trends and Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of industry developments, market trends, and competitor strategies to inform and adapt PR and communication strategies.
  10. Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve comprehensive and cohesive communication outcomes.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in public relations and strategic communications, preferably in the financial or tech sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful strategic communication plans and PR campaigns.
  • Strong network of media contacts and a proven track record with national and local media.
  • Superior writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Crisis management experience and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in PR tools and digital media platforms.
