About ORA

At ORA, we believe that healthcare should be accessible, convenient, and deeply personal. We are building a modern digital experience that enables patients to access care on their terms, delivering high-quality, specialized treatments for chronic conditions.

As a vertically integrated telehealth platform founded in 2020, ORA is Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing digital health provider. We operate a shared core technology and services layer that powers our demographic-focused digital clinics across Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, with additional regional markets launching soon. Our growing portfolio of healthcare brands includes andSons (men’s health), OVA (women’s health), and Modern Molecules (online dermatology).

We are backed by a $10M Series A funding round, the largest investment for any digital health organisation in Southeast Asia, and we are expanding rapidly to unlock our next phase of growth.

Who This Role Is Best For

We are looking for a Business Development Intern who is interested in gaining hands-on exposure to telesales and customer engagement within digital healthcare. This role is well suited for individuals who enjoy interacting with people and are curious about customer-facing service environments. No prior experience is required; we're looking for someone eager to learn, with strong communication skills and a genuine interest in healthcare and sales.

You will support the Business Development team in managing and converting inbound enquiries for our medically supervised weight loss program. The role involves contacting prospective customers, explaining the program, answering general questions, and guiding them through the steps leading up to a doctor consultation. This is a great opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sales, lead management, and customer engagement in a fast-paced, real-world business setting.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to manage assigned leads from first contact through to conversion, with guidance and support from the team.
  • Engage with leads through phone, WhatsApp, and messaging channels, with the goal of helping move them from lead to booking a consultation with a Doctor.
  • Assist with regular follow-ups to keep leads warm and progressing.
  • Help provide clear information so customers understand the offering and can make informed decisions.
  • Support customers with their questions or concerns, escalating where needed.
  • Log interactions and lead statuses accurately in the CRM.
  • Help maintain an organised and up-to-date lead pipeline.
  • Learn to track and report on activity, including follow-up rates and outcomes.
  • Contribute to the team's weekly and monthly goals as you build confidence and skill.
  • Escalate any cases requiring clinical input to the appropriate team.

Qualification & Requirements

  • No prior work experience required — we welcome students, fresh graduates, or anyone looking to start a career in sales or healthcare.
  • An interest in customer service, sales, healthcare, or wellness industries.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal; comfortable speaking with people over phone and messaging platforms.
  • A willingness to learn, take feedback, and adapt quickly.
  • Organised, with an ability to keep track of multiple conversations or tasks at once.
  • Comfortable using basic computer systems and tools (CRM training will be provided).
  • Patient, empathetic, and confident engaging with customers on health-related topics.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma (or equivalent); available for an internship period of 3 - 6 months.
