Job Description:

Ohmyhome is looking for a highly skilled Senior Android Developer to join our dynamic tech team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building high-performing, scalable, and user-friendly Android applications. This role will involve maintaining and enhancing existing applications, developing new features, and ensuring optimal performance to support Ohmyhome’s mission of simplifying property transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate wireframes and UI/UX designs into high-quality, maintainable Android code.
• Maintain, optimize, and enhance existing Android applications to improve performance and user experience.
• Spearheaded the development of new features to align with Ohmyhome’s vision and business objectives.
• Develop and launch new Android applications as needed to support Ohmyhome’s growth.
• Ensure the responsiveness, quality, and security of all applications developed.
• Perform peer code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and maintain high code quality.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, Designers, Backend Developers, and QA Engineers, to deliver seamless mobile experiences.
• Identify and troubleshoot application issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
• Research and implement the latest Android development trends and best practices.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Perform such other functions that may be assigned by the direct Manager about the position.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Android development using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack Components, MVVM Architecture, and Android UI design principles.
• Knowledge and understanding of modern Android Development best practices and modern android libraries (Jetpack Libraries, ViewModel, LiveData, etc.)
• Experience with RESTful APIs, Retrofit, Room Database, Firebase, and third-party libraries.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, unit testing, and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Experience with Google Play Store deployment and app lifecycle management.
• Strong problem-solving skills, and ability to troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance applications.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose is a plus
• Experienced with threading, performance tuning, benchmarking and optimization.
• Must have experience writing Unit Test and Android Instrumentation Test
• Familiarity with Version Control (Git)
• Willing to work in Quezon City.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience working with Kotlin Multiplatform
• Familiarity with Xcode and iOS technologies
• Experience working within an Agile Environment
• Experience working with any hybrid technologies
• Understanding of property or real estate-related applications.
