Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of network solutions including SD-WAN, connectivity, and security services.
- Translate business and customer requirements into scalable and secure network architectures (HLD & LLD).
- Act as the Level 3 escalation point for complex network issues including IPsec, routing, and SD-WAN performance.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis, and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Support deployment, integration, and UAT activities to ensure successful customer onboarding.
- Define and maintain network standards, configuration templates, and operational runbooks.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Engage with vendor TAC (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco) for issue resolution and technical alignment.
- Collaborate with Product, Pre-Sales, Delivery, and Operations teams for end-to-end service delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to L1 and L2 engineers.
- Ensure network security practices are implemented, including firewall policies and segmentation.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation, architecture diagrams, and reporting for internal and customer use.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field with a focus on networking.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a System Integrator (SI) or managed services environment.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including routing (BGP, OSPF, static), IPsec VPN, and SD-WAN technologies.
- Experience in implementing and supporting network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and WAN technologies (DIA, broadband, SIM, VSAT).
- Hands-on experience with vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, or similar platforms.
- Ability to design and document network architectures (HLD/LLD) and produce accurate technical documentation.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze logs, performance issues, and network behavior.
- Knowledge of network security concepts including firewall policies, segmentation, and secure connectivity.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills with the ability to engage customers and internal stakeholders.
- Fast learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and environments.
- Willingness to support after-hours or standby duties when required.
