The Senior Executive, Procurement is responsible for supporting the procurement activities of the company, ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services at competitive prices while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. The role involves supplier management, negotiation, and coordination with various departments to meet the company’s procurement and logistics needs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Procurement Process Management:
- Execute the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance.
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services by managing lead times and coordinating with suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and documentation.
- Supplier Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to ensure they meet company standards and requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to delivery, quality, or service.
- Cost Control and Negotiation:
- Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best deals.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.
- Conduct regular supplier audits and evaluations.
- Logistics Management:
- Coordinate and manage the logistics and transportation of goods to ensure timely delivery.
- Work with freight forwarders and carriers to optimize shipping and storage solutions.
- Monitor and improve logistics processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Coordination and Communication:
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand and fulfill their procurement needs.
- Provide regular updates on procurement status and any issues that may affect operations.
- Resolve any discrepancies or conflicts related to procurement activities.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and reduce costs.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present procurement reports.
- Use data to make informed procurement decisions and improve processes.
- Provide insights and recommendations to management for continuous improvement.
- Perform duties as assigned by superiors/management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Solid knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Ability to be hands-on, multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
- Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
- Must have a high degree of integrity at work.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent education.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant working experience.
- Good knowledge of ICT products and services.
