Senior Manager, Campus Operations (Cyberjaya College Kota Kinabalu)

Job Overview

• Lead and optimize multi-campus operations for Cyberjaya College Kuching and Kota Kinabalu, ensuring a safe, efficient, and student-centric environment. This role integrates the management of facilities, student hostels, logistics, and IT support with a focus on service excellence and tight fiscal management. As a strategic bridge between institutional goals and campus-level execution, the Senior Manager leads campus Operations Managers to deliver seamless business continuity and shared operational services.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Provide operational oversight to campus Operational Managers to ensure the seamless translation of institutional strategy into localized practice, cultivating an environment defined by accountability, operational discipline, and student-centric service excellence.
• Facilities & Hostel Management: Oversee the upkeep, safety, and optimization of campus buildings, laboratories, offices, utilities, grounds, and student hostel; including maximizing hostel occupancy and classroom utilization.
• Project Management: Manage capital improvement projects for colleges, including renovations, expansions, and relocations, ensuring they are completed within scope and timeline.
• Financial Control & Procurement: Exercise rigorous oversight of OPEX and CAPEX budgets, identifying cost-saving efficiencies and managing vendor contracts to ensure favorable Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• IT & Infrastructure Support: Direct IT and logistical operations to maintain high system reliability and efficient service delivery at all locations.
• Student Service Delivery: Drive student satisfaction by overseeing seamless campus operations, including transport, hostel services, and logistical support for major college events.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all operations meet OSHA, legal, and licensing requirements while maintaining strong relationships with landlords, regulators, and local authorities.
• Performance Reporting: Provide regular, data-driven updates to Management on budget adherence, operational effectiveness, and the progress of critical campus initiatives.
• Operational Resilience: Maintain operational readiness for emergency response and critical after-hours activities to protect institutional interests and undertake other duties as assigned in line with the seniority and scope of the role."

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline. A relevant postgraduate qualification or professional certification is an advantage.
• At least 5 to 7 years of experience in operations, facilities, administration or a related area, including at least 3 years in a managerial role with responsibility for teams, budgets and multiple sites or complex operations.
• Experience in higher education, student accommodation, regulated services or a multi-campus environment is strongly preferred.
• Sound knowledge of budgeting, contract and vendor management, facilities and asset management, workplace safety, risk management and business continuity.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects, operational changes and service improvement across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Strong written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional proficiency relevant to Sarawak or Sabah stakeholders is an advantage.
• Able to travel regularly between Kuching and Kota Kinabalu.
