(CCK) Lecturer cum Clinical Instructor (MLT)

Job overview:

A Lecturer cum Clinical Instructor bridges the gap between medical theory and hospital practice. They teach academic modules in classrooms and supervise students during hospital or clinical placements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, update and prepare lesson plans, tutorials, assignments and class discussions in compliance with the syllabus and curriculum and to reflect current practices;
• Conduct and deliver quality lectures, tutorials, discussions, workshops, consultancy and other means of learning facilitation professionally and effectively to students;
• Supervise and teach students on related procedures according to various disciplines and methods throughout student’s clinical practice and ensure students are able to learn and gain knowledge on expected competencies;
• Consistently monitor and provide feedback to students on their performance and provide academic counselling to students;
• Involve in the general academic administration of the program;
• Involve in the development of examination papers and other assessments accordingly to the course learning outcomes, invigilate examinations and evaluate students’ performance;
• To provide ideas, suggestions, proposals, and recommendations to improve further the overall operations, management and profitability of the school and the university; and

Qualification:

• Candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree or diploma with minimum 5 years of teaching experience at clinical posting and college setting;
• Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
• Able to work effectively and efficiently as a team member as well as independently;
• Able to communicate effectively and work with the management and other staff; and
• Possess own transport to be able to commute to students’ clinical area.
