(AMU) EDUCATION COUNSELOR

Job Overview :

The Education Counsellor plays a key role in engaging with school counsellors, managing prospective student pipelines, and ensuring smooth communication between stakeholders. The role involves international and local market engagement, digital recruitment support, education fairs and contributing to the overall success of student recruitment strategies.

Job Responsibilities :

• Manage and strengthen relationships with school counsellors & agents, ensuring timely updates, product knowledge, and training.
• Handle incoming student inquiries through email, calls, online consultations, and digital platforms.
• Provide end-to-end support to students on application, visa, and enrollment processes.
• Track and report on student leads, conversions, and overall campaign performance.
• Represent the institution at education fairs, virtual events, schools visit and outreach activities.
• Provide insights into emerging market opportunities and assist in market expansion planning.
• Support the line manager with strategy execution, data reporting, and lead management.
• Plan and execute corporate marketing initiatives targeting working adults, including establishing collaborations with companies to drive student enrolment for AMU programmes.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall recruitment function.

Job Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English,Chinese and Malay.
• Familiarity with digital platforms, CRM systems, and online communication tools.
• Culturally sensitive, proactive, and results-driven.
• Possess own transport and be willing to travel.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, or during school events as required.
• Ability to work independently while meeting assigned KPIs and target goals.
• Prior experience in student recruitment, higher education marketing, or agent management.
• Proven ability to analyze market trends and identify opportunities for international/local growth
