(AMU) Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Business, Management and Accounting

Job Overview :

This position requires an energetic and resourceful person to educate and prepare young talents to meet the industry requirements. The students need to give due care with excellent work etiquette in ensuring to successfully complete the course(s) being taught. The candidate should be able demonstrate excellent communication skills, a team player and can work independently. In addition, the candidate should possess excellent research, publications presented at conferences, obtained professional membership, produced scholar at post graduate level, provided valuable services to university and community.

Responsibilities :

• Develop, review, update and prepare lesson plans, tutorials, and other related documentation in compliance with the syllabus and curriculum and to reflect current practices that are in line with the MoHE and MQA requirements.
• Conduct and deliver quality lectures, tutorials, discussion, workshop or other related tasks professionally and effectively to students.
• Contribute to the development of new academic programme and to provide ideas, suggestion, proposals, and recommendation to further improve the overall operations, management and profitability of the faculty and the university.
• Supervise students and responsible for students’ academic progress.
• Consistently provide pastoral and timely care, support as well as monitor and provide feedback to students on their performance and to provide academic counselling to students.
• Involve in general academic administration of the faculty.
• Participate in research and publications.
• Supervise students in research projects.
• Involve in the development of examination papers and other assessments accordingly to the course learning outcomes, invigilate examinations and evaluate students’ performance.
• Participate in prevailing rating and ranking exercises, such as Applied HE, SETARA and MyRA of the university; and
• Involve in marketing activities such as education fairs, open days and other marketing drives.
• Evaluate personal educational practices and undertake continuing professional development to improve and upgrade personal values towards faculty, university and the society.
• To assist faculty, university in terms in terms of achieving organizational goals and ad-hoc initiatives.

Requirements :

• Candidate must possess a minimum of Doctorate Degree in Business Administration with both Master's and Bachelor's Degree in the relevant field of expertise.
• At least 6-7 years of teaching experience.
• Have excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• Good command of English.
• Able to work effectively and efficiently independently and in a team environment.
• Have a good track record of research and publications.
• Have supervised and graduated students at post-graduate level.
• Adaptive, proactive and able to work with team and independently.
• Meticulous and analytical.
• Work collectively to achieve common goals and outcomes.
