Research Areas:
Criteria for Applicants:
- Hold a PhD degree or other acceptable qualifications in health Sciences.
- Demonstrate academic merit with a good research output of at least 3-5 publications in Scopus indexed Q1 or Q2 journals.
- Has a minimum of 5 H index in Scopus.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Research: planning and conducting independent research under the guidance of a supervisor or principal investigator. This involves designing experiments, collecting, and analysing data, and interpreting results.
- Scholarly Activities: Engaging in scholarly activities such as literature reviews, writing research papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting findings at conferences or seminars.
- Collaboration: Collaborating with other researchers, faculty members, and students within the university or with external partners, including industry collaborators or other academic institutions.
- Grant Writing: Assisting with or leading the writing of research grant proposals to secure funding for the research project or for personal fellowships.
- Professional Development: Engaging in professional development activities such as organising / attending workshops, seminars, or training sessions to enhance research skills, teaching abilities, and career prospects.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with ethical standards, university policies, and relevant regulations governing research conduct, including obtaining necessary approvals for research involving human subjects or animals.
- Administrative Tasks: Performing administrative tasks related to the research project, such as managing budgets, ordering supplies, and maintaining laboratory equipment.
- Publishing: Publishing research findings in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
- Professional Conduct: Upholding professional standards of conduct and integrity in all aspects of research, teaching, and interactions within the academic community.
Financial Benefits:
- Funding from University of Cyberjaya allocation (Research Management Unit).
- Honorarium of RM 5,000.00 per month.
- No increment for re-appointment of candidates.
- Airfare/accommodation allowances are not provided.
Duration:
- Initial appointment is for one (1) year, with the possibility of re-appointment based on performance and recommendation from the respective School/Centre.
- Maximum appointment duration is two (2) years.
