EXECUTIVE (FACULTY OF MEDICINE

Job Purpose:

The Executive is to assists the Head of Discipline, Year Coordinator & Course Coordinator of Medicine in matters related to teaching & learning activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

A. Course implementation and timetabling

1. To assist respective Year / Course Coordinator in preparation of template of course schedule
2. To coordinate venue and other logistic preparation for classes as per requested by course coordinators / faculty members
3. To assist coordinate logistic needs in ensuring the smooth running of all
4. To assist in preparation of course and academic materials through secretarial and printing duties - ensure submission deadline is adhered & punctual delivery of materials
5. To disseminate information regarding class/course schedule to academics, students, and other relevant departments - course materials (timetable, guidebook, logbook) to be distrusted to students on first day of each course
6. To assist in coordinating other clinical placement needs and requirements (equipment & other logistics) - pass this to staff nurses.
7. To assist of timetable of invited and part-time academic staff.
8. To assist Head of Division in coordinating course scheduling / other arrangements between the various years (year 1 to 5), disciplines, centers (e.g. language) and University departments (e.g. Exam Unit).
9. To assist coordinate course evaluation and preparation of course evaluation reports - for presentation in MCAC / Faculty Meeting.
10. Invigilate all MBBS Examinations
11. Assist respective year coordinator in registration & orientation students
12. To assist the preparation of letters and assist in communication for course needs:

• Letter for students' placement/visits - CHET, PPD, Elective 1, Elective 2 & all clinical rotations
• Invitation of invited/other part-time academic staff
