Job Overview
The Senior Executive in the Ranking and Analytics Department plays a key role in managing
and coordinating efforts to enhance the institution's position in global and national rankings.
This position requires expertise in data analysis, strategic planning, and comprehensive
understanding of ranking methodologies. The Senior Executive will work closely with various
departments to collect, verify, analyze, and report data, ensuring accurate and timely
submissions for rankings and accreditations.
1. Data Collection and Analysis:
- Coordinate data collection from internal departments, ensuring completeness and accuracy. o Analyze institutional data to identify strengths and improvement areas related to ranking metrics.
- Prepare and interpret statistical reports and data visualizations to inform decision-making.
2. Ranking Submission Management:
- Oversee the entire submission process for national (e.g., SETARA, MyRA) and international rankings (e.g., QS, THE Impact Rankings, THE World University Rankings).
- Develop timelines and checklists for each ranking cycle to ensure timely and high-quality submissions.
- Ensure compliance with ranking methodologies and guidelines, addressing discrepancies proactively.
3. Strategic Planning:
- Work with senior leadership to develop strategies aimed at improving the institution's ranking and reputation.
- Provide recommendations based on data trends and competitor analysis.
- Assist in setting targets aligned with ranking objectives and in monitoring progress toward these goals.
4. Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination:
- Liaise with departments and academic faculties to communicate data requirements and collect relevant information.
- Organize and conduct workshops or training sessions on the importance of rankings and best practices for data management.
- Foster relationships with external ranking bodies and stay informed on changes in ranking methodologies.
5. Quality Assurance and Reporting:
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all data used in rankings submissions.
- Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing ranking results and implications, presenting findings to senior management.
- Maintain records of all submissions, methodologies, and historical data for future reference.
6. Continuous Improvement and Benchmarking:
- Conduct benchmarking analysis to compare the institution's performance with peer institutions.
- Propose initiatives to enhance the institution's research output, citations, and other ranking indicators.
- Identify best practices in data management and institutional performance enhancement.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Business, Education Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are an advantage.
Experience:
At least 2 years in a similar role, with proven experience in handling national and international ranking submissions, preferably in an academic or research institution.
