LECTURER - COUNSELLING (FACULTY OF PSYCHOLOGY AND SOCIAL SCIENCES)

Job Overview :

To provide daily administrative & Academic support for the Bachelor of Counselling (Honours) Programme

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lectures, facilitate discussions and teaching in the field of Counselling
• Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional growth.
• Contribute to curriculum development and program enhancement
• Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
• Provide clinical supervision to counselling students/trainee counsellor
• Develop research projects and willing to collaborate with faculty on research, scholarly activities and secure internal/external grant
• Other ad hoc task assigned by the faculty Dean

Required Qualifications:

1. Minimum Master's degree in Counselling, or related fields.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of industry experience in counselling or teaching experience in a higher education setting.
3. MUST be a registered counsellor under Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM)
4. Trained in counselling supervision.
5. Have experience providing counselling supervision to trainee counsellors/counsellors Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Passion for education and fostering a positive learning environment.
7. Passionate about education, self-starter, and a team player.

Preffered Qualifications :

1. Possess a Counselling Supervision Certification either from Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM) or other recognized Universities
