ASSISTANT MANAGER, GENERAL LEDGER

Job Overview;

Monthly closing, full set of account, fixed assets, bank reconciliation, audit and tax

Responsibilities;

• Coordinate and perform full set of accounts, and to ensure timely closing of monthly accounts;
• Perform journal entries and make necessary adjustments accordingly;
• Ensure accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues and expenditures;
• Update, reconcile and administer the fixed assets record, and to prepare and maintain supporting schedule;
• Reconcile Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Fixed Asset Subledgers to General Ledger;
• Review, reconcile and confirm all inter-company transactions;
• Prepare and monitor balance sheet reconciliation, including preparing schedules and providing commentary;
• Prepare bank reconciliations including the matching of receipts against bank statements;
• Review all financial transactions to ensure accuracy and to ensure that accounting records are up to date;
• Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and other reports based on the standard accounting practices;
• Provide reports to management on the financial status of the company, including trends over time;
• Involve and attend to the external and internal audit exercise and requirements;
• Attend to tax queries and submission requirements; and
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications;

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Accounting or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or having a recognise professional qualification in Accountancy;
• Have a minimum of 2 or 3 years of relevant experience, specialising in GL reporting and full set of account;
• Good interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with team and other business partners throughout the organisation;
• Able to think critically and grasp new concept quickly; and
• Flexible, organised and to work under time constraints and deadlines
