Senior Software Quality Assurance

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through comprehensive testing and validation processes. You will work closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues, ensuring that our software meets the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and review the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), ensuring bidirectional traceability between requirements, functions, test scenarios, test cases, test results and defects.
• Prepare and review Test Scenario Preparation (TSP) by deriving positive, negative, alternate, exception, boundary, role-based, integration and end-to-end scenarios from each function name, activity name and business flow.
• Develop, review, and maintain detailed test cases, test scripts, test data, expected results, execution evidence and test run plans in accordance with the approved QA templates and project standards.
• Support and coordinate UAT, FAT, and PAT activities, including test readiness, scenario walkthroughs, execution monitoring, defect clarification, retesting, and sign-off evidence.
• Verify migrated data, test data availability and environment readiness before test execution, and escalate gaps that may affect the testing schedule or quality of results.
• Facilitate defect triage and testing discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure all testing artifacts are controlled, versioned, reviewable and suitable for government, client, and audit purposes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum five (6) years of hands-on software testing experience, with at least two (2) years performing senior-level responsibilities.
• Strong experience analysing BRS, functional requirements, workflows, and integration specifications, and translating them into complete test scenarios and test cases.
• Practical experience in functional testing, system integration testing, end-to-end testing, regression testing, UAT support, and defect management.
• Experience producing formal, audit-ready test evidence, execution reports and test closure documentation.
• Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), and software testing methodologies.
• Ability to identify requirement gaps, ambiguities, missing flows, inconsistent business rules and untestable acceptance criteria.
• Familiarity with test management, defect tracking and collaboration tools, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for controlled QA documentation.
• Good understanding of test data management, environment readiness, data migration validation and defect lifecycle management.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple modules and deadlines, and provide guidance to junior QA team members.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks.
• Experience in functional and non-functional testing.
• Relevant software testing certification such as ISTQB or an equivalent qualification.
